We Are The Reading Corner
The Reading Corner Preschool is an academic-based preschool specializing in early childhood education. Our programs start as early as 2 years old through VPK, operating on a school calendar with summer camps and enrichment classes throughout the summer break.
Our Mission
Mission: We are committed to providing quality early literacy instruction. We believe that the skills and confidence that children acquire in early childhood have a tremendous impact on their future academic success. Learning should happen through active literacy, where children learn from discussing, interacting, and working together to solve problems and learn new concepts.
Our Philosophy
Philosophy: At The Reading Corner we use differentiated instruction and relevant curriculum. Our philosophy is to encourage every child to use and develop his/her skills, talents, creativity, and ideas to excel academically. Differentiating instruction allows a child to learn and acquire information at his/her pace. With the use of authentic literature, hands on and open-ended activities, children can excel academically. While we have a more academic based philosophy, what we do best is nurture the whole child- social, emotional, and academic.

Toddler Program
Our main goal for our littlest learners is social interaction. We develop communication and problem-solving skills while immersing students in a print-rich environment with strong phonemic awareness activities.
Three Year Old
A developmentally appropriate curriculum of literacy-readiness using authentic literature. We balance phonemic awareness, comprehension, and reading strategies through collaborative play and group activities.
Pre-Kindergarten
Our VPK program goes beyond state requirements, truly preparing children for Kindergarten success. Students engage in Morning Meeting, Readers & Writers Workshop, Science, and project-based learning.
